Neutraface Font
|
The most notable distinction about this font is the pronounced length or height if I may call it, of the small letters. Neutraface font has its own unique design that is improved for favorable application in text. It has a grouping of four weights, with each having lower case, italic and italic lower case, and finally roman style. In this case, there is no ordinary indirect roman but it has been replaced by real italic. The diversity of designs with this font makes it ideal for creative design applications. The various Neutraface text consists of seven different styles which are used for conveying text, backing design applications in either case. Subscript and superscript features have been advanced to be applied in fractions and other modes.
It was named after an architect known as Richard J. Neutra, who lived between 1892 through 1970. He is said to have used a geometrical kind of designing for his works for commercializing purposes and also in residential houses. As people believe in advancing with time, a lot of study must have taken place after ascertaining that the font was popular and needed to be upgraded. The second phase of Neutraface was born, but it remains totally Richard's brainchild no matter the advances. It had modifications to the original one, and was designed in a way to be applied in several formats. Up to date there are currently seventy one fonts in use and this shows how much redesigning there have been. The most famous Neutraface design is the Neutraface Slab which includes multiple variety of styles and weights, from bold, semi bold, light and book, each with a support version of italic. This innovation was carried out by Susana Carvalho and Bernau Kai. This piece of art has been applied in building blocks, and can be used or it has been used as a good learning media for children as they can easily spell what they see day in day out. Playing with the slab blocks can make learning interesting and automatic. There are also other fonts designed in wall mats, pillows, bags (both traveler bags and children's school bags) and other articles we use on daily basis. It just brings about a real nice combination of art and comfort. In a nutshell, there are over twenty four languages supported by the Neutraface font. They include Dutch, Danish, Czech, Basque, Faroese, Esperanto, Catalan, English, Croatian, Estonian, Polish, Maltese, Portuguese, Finnish, Latvian, Norwegian, German, Italian, Lithuanian, French, Hungarian, Icelandic, Turkish, Swedish, Slovakian, Romanian, Slovene, Spanish, and last but not least, Tagalog. |
